We Pulled It Off
Wow, it’s been more than one month and we’re still getting calls, texts and emails about this year’s Created to Shine Conference! When I tell you that I tried to cancel this event several times, I’m not kidding. My team wouldn’t let me and told me to go calm down each time. At the most, they let me postpone it. The original date was September 28, 2019. But because the first half of 2019 was challenging for me, I made the decision to postpone the conference to March 28, 2020. I had no idea that I’d have to postpone the event, again.
And you know what happened next. COVID-19 happened and blew up all my plans of kicking off 2020 with a visionary event.
Can you believe it? Our 2nd Annual Created to Shine Conference was postponed twice!!
But, let me tell you this, even though it didn’t happen when or the way we planned, we’re still on high from this year’s conference.
God Wouldn’t Let Us Quit
Y’all, God came through in the way that He always does! Sometimes, we just can’t see with our physical eyes how a vision will actually come together. The enemy did not want this conference to happen. We hit one obstacle after another.
I literally just wanted to cancel it. But this time, GOD said “NO!”
In August, after much hadn’t changed with social distancing guidelines, we had to make another big decision. Do I postpone it again or make it virtual? After much prayer, we decided it should be virtual!
But, how will we do this? God said, “Trust me. Take one step at a time.”
I’m so thankful that my team was on board. So we went for it. I’ve hosted webinars and coaching calls on Zoom for years, but never hosted a fully loaded conference. God just began to drop wisdom and ideas. Everything started to fall in place. Amelia Dortch, with HD Consulting did an awesome job with the production.
Better than Expected
One step at a time, it all flowed together. All the way down to the stage set. Even though we had to make some last minute changes, Cheryl Roberts brought her unique gifts and designed the perfect stage for the event; in my family room of all places.
I know you’ve heard this before: “Trust the Process!”
When I tell you that this second conference definitely tested me, whew! But, what I know for sure is that God will stretch you and make you uncomfortable, but it will strengthen your faith and force you to grow.
Because of our presenters and panelists, Breakthroughs Happened and lives were changed!

Whatever you do, Don’t Give Up…Even when you think it’s over and done. This is at the moment when you will Soar!
